Freedom 251, cheapest smartphone in India launched at Rs. 251
Ringing Bells has announced India’s cheapest smartphone, Freedom 251 for Rs. 251 only. Yes! you read that right. The Android running smartphone will be available from 18th February 6 AM onwards.

The Freedom 251 smartphone is designed keeping in mind, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision for “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story”. Hence, it also comes with several pre-loaded apps for, Woman Safety, Swachh Bharat, Farmer, Fisherman, Medical and various social networking apps.
The Freedom 251 comes with a 4 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, coupled with 1 GB RAM. It comes with 8 GB internal memory, which can can be further expanded up to 32 GB with microSD slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The Freedom 251 sports a 3.2 megapixel autofocus rear camera and 0.3 megapixel camera on front. The smartphone is backed by 1450 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G,WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The Freedom 251 comes with 1 year warranty and Ringing Bells claims to have 650 service center across India. The smartphone comes in White color only and will be available from Freedom251.com. The smartphone will be officially launched later today in Delhi.
