The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with v24.61.55 for the Moto G (3rd Gen) is of 371.4 MB in size and also includes the updates of Android security patches until March 1st 2016. The update comes with the same features of Moto X Play update, like double pressing the power button will now launch the camera, improved stability of the phone and camera shutter tone switch is back so that you can turn off and on the sound of the camera shutter at any time.

The interesting thing about this update is that the changelog doesn’t mention support for Unicode 8.0 emojis, like we have seen in Moto X play update. Anyways, we recommend you to update your Moto G (3rd Gen) over a WiFi network.
