Huawei launches new Band 2 and Band 2 Pro fitness trackers with heart rate monitoring
Huawei has announced its new fitness wearables dubbed as Huawei Band 2 and Huawei Band 2 Pro. The highlight of these fitness bands is that they come with Heart Rate sensors which provide 24 hour heart rate monitoring. Apart from this, the Band 2 Pro comes with VO2 Max which measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can take in.
Both the fitness bands as per the company, hold a smooth ergonomic design which merges seamlessly with your wrist, making it more comfortable to use. The Bands are waterproof and are rated to withstand water pressure of 5 ATM and will work perfectly fine for up to 50 meters inside the water.
The Bands sport a PMOLED display and are compatible with devices running on Android version 4.4 and later or devices running on iOS 8.0 and later. However, as per the company, the fitness bands pair perfectly with Huawei smartphones and allow users to see their messages even when they leave behind their handset.
Although both the bands have the same design but the Band 2 Pro comes with some additional features such as built-in GPS, which gives you more precise data about how far you have run using GPS-enabled speed, movement, and distance tracking. There is also a TruSleep tracker on the Band 2 Pro which provides necessary data to monitor sleeping habits.
The Huawei Band 2 Pro also comes with a ‘Sports Coach’ functionality which, as per the company integrates a professional motion analysis algorithm to help users exercise in a thoroughly scientific way. Both Huawei Band 2 and Band 2 Pro have a Breathing Coach feature that monitors and provides instructions on breathing for relaxing effect.
The Band 2 and Band 2 Pro fitness bands are available in Blue, Black, and Red color options. The bands are listed on company’s website but as of now there is no word on the pricing and availability.
