Xiaomi Redmi 3S becomes the highest selling online smartphone in India, over 4 million units sold
Xiaomi has recently been making a lot of announcements about its success in India. The company has indeed seen an immense success in the country with its high end smartphones that are available at a budget price. One such smartphone is the Xiaomi Redmi 3S which became highly popular amongst Indian buyers and according to a new announcement from Xiaomi, the company sold over 4 million Redmi 3S units in the country in just 9 months. This is the most number of units of a particular smartphone that a company has sold online in India. Here, the figure includes all the Redmi 3S variants i.e Redmi 3S Prime as well.
The Managing Director of Xiaomi for India, Manu Kumar Jain recently revealed the fact through a tweet which reads, “#Redmi3S: 4M+ units sold in 9 months. ️Highest selling phone ever in online India. I hope our next device is as successful”.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S comes with some imposing specifications at a very competitive price which makes it a popular choice. We have also given it the first position in our Buyer’s Guide list of 5 Best Phones under 7000 Rs. since it was launched. The Redmi 3S was launched at Rs. 6,999 in August last year along with its higher version Redmi 3S Prime which comes with price tag of Rs. 8,999. Both the smartphones come with similar specifications expect the fact that Redmi 3S comes with 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage and 3S Prime comes with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage along with fingerprint sensor. Both the smartphones have a 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera along with 4,000 mAh battery which is also the highlight of these smartphones.

The news comes up when the successor of these smartphones that is the Redmi 4 is expected to launch on 16th May. In such case, it will be interesting to see what Xiaomi brings up next and will it be able to maintain the budget price that made the Redmi 3S so popular.
