Vivo Y69 with 16 MP front camera and 5.5-inch HD display launched in India at Rs. 14,990
Vivo has launched its selfie centric Y69 smartphone in India. The Vivo Y69 is another mid-range smartphone from the company which focuses on the front camera capabilities to cater the needs of selfie lovers. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 14,990 and will be available online via Amazon and Flipkart as well as offline through retail stores across the country from 1st September. It comes in Champagne Gold and Matte Black color options.
The Vivo Y69 sports a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6570 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Funtouch OS 3.2 on top.
The imaging department, which is the premium highlight of the smartphone consists of a 16 MP front camera with LED flash, which the company calls as the ‘Moonlight’ flash. The front camera comes with a f/2.0 aperture, Samsung S5K3P3ST sensor and also has a group selfie feature for wider selfies. On the rear we are looking at a 13 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash. The rear camera comes with the ‘Live Photo’ feature similar to that of the iPhone which captures moving images.
The Vivo Y69 houses a 3,000 mAh battery to keep things ticking and has also got a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button upfront. The connectivity options include, Dual-sim support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The smartphone measures 154.6 x 75.7 x 7.7 mm and weighs 162.8 grams.
