New 9.7 inch Apple iPad (2017) to be available for pre-orders on Flipkart from today, starting at Rs. 28,900
Apple brought in an entire range of products last month, one of those products was the new 9.7 inch iPad. The 9.7 inch iPad came in as a replacement to the iPad Air 2. The device is now also available in India and is up for pre-orders on Flipkart from today with a starting price Rs. 28,900. The iPad 9.7 inch is available in Silver, Gold and Space Gray color options.
The tablet comes in two different variants, the WiFi only variant which is priced at Rs. 28,900 and then the WiFi+Cellular variant which is priced Rs. 39,999. If we compare it with the prices of the iPad Air 2, the WiFi only variant on Air 2 was priced at Rs. 35,900 in India and the WiFi+Cellular variant was priced at Rs. 45,900. The competitive price tag of the new 9.7 inch iPad (2017) puts it amongst the cheapest full sized iPads in India.
The specifications of the new iPad include the often highlighted 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 pixels display. It comes with the Apple 64-bit A9 chipset coupled with a M9 motion co-processor and 2GB of RAM. The 9.7 inch iPad (2017) is provided with internal storage options of 32 GB and 128 GB.
For imaging, the device bears an 8 MP rear camera with f/2.4 aperture lens, autofocus, HDR and panorama. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p HD videos. On the front, there is a 1.2-megapixel f/2.2 aperture camera for selfies and video calls.
As mentioned earlier, the connectivity options include WiFi and cellular 4G connectivity which will vary depending upon the variants. The device measures 9.4 x 6.6 x 0.29 mm and weighs 469 gm for the WiFi model and 478 gm for the WiFi+cellular variant.
