LG G6 set to launch on 24th April in India, pre-orders begin along with special offers
LG G6, the flagship smartphone from the South Korean tech giant LG is finally going to hit the shelves in India. The smartphone was announced in MWC 2017 and is now going to be launched in India on 24th April. The LG G6 is already up for pre orders in India and the company has also coupled some exciting offers.

To start with the offers, there is a Rs. 7,000 worth cashback for HDFC and SBI card holders. Added to this, the LG Tone Active+ HBS A-100 headset will be available at 50% discount for all those who pre order the smartphone. Out of the Rs. 7,000 cashback, Rs. 5,000 is the base cashback, whereas if you desire to avail the additional cashback of Rs. 2,000, you will have to pre-book the smartphone before 30th April. Other offers are valid up to 31st May. Apart from this, there are also the EA Special gifts worth Rs. 14,100 for 6 games including Temple Run 2, Spider-Man Unlimited, Crossy Road etc with the G6. The smartphone is available for pre orders on LG’s website or through the retail outlets across the country.
To recall the specifications of the LG G6, its highlight is the almost bezel-less design similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ and it also is by far the first smartphone with Dolby Vision (and HDR 10) for enhanced videos which was only found in high-end TV’s until now. The smartphone bears a 5.7-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ LCD display. Under the hood, it has got a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSd card. The LG G6 has got a 13 MP rear camera with Dual-tone LED flash and a 5 MP front camera with 100-degree wide angle lens. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with LG UX 6.0 on top.
The smartphone comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor and IP68 rating which makes it water and dust resistant. It holds a 3,300 mAh battery with quick charge support and for connectivity there is 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C.
Although the price of the smartphone will be revealed during the launch on 24th April but, according to sources, the LG G6 might be priced between Rs. 53,000 to Rs. 54,000. Also, we’ll have to wait till the launch to see what more does LG has for the Indian buyers.
