Lenovo K3 Note gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update in India

The very popular budget smartphone Lenovo K3 Note, launched last year, has started receiving the much-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India. The company has rolled out the update via OTA (over-the-air).

Back in January, Anuj Sharma, head of product and marketing, Lenovo Smartphone, India, teased an image of the K3 Note running Android Marshmallow on his Twitter page but didn’t reveal launch details. Along with the features of Marshmallow, the K3 Note OS update also brings the support for TheaterMax technology, that will enable users to experience the VR (Virtual Reality) on the smartphone with help of VR headset, the feature which the company touted with the newly launched Lenovo K4 Note and Vibe X3 smartphones.

About the update, the build number is K50a40_S121_150813_ROW_TO_K50a40_S322_160314_ROW and the update file size is of 1.6 GB. Just in case, if  some users haven’t received the notifications, they can manually check Settings > About Phone > System Update.

Lenovo is also expected to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Lenovo A7000, Lenovo A7000 Plus, Lenovo Vibe S1 and Lenovo Vibe P1 in coming few days.
