LeEco launches Le 2 and Le Max 2 with CDLA and Android 6.0 in India

As expected, LeEco has launched two new smartphones in India, known as LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2. The smartphones that support the new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard through USB Type-C port, were first unveiled in China, few days ago.

Both the Le 2 and Le Max 2 have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, fingerprint sensor, and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EUI 5.5 on top. They both offer connectivity options like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and USB Type C. So now let’s look at their distinct features.

LeEco Le 2:

The LeEco Le 2 features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS in-cell display with 500 nits of brightness. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with 32GB (eMMC5.1) internal storage and is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.

Le 2 and Le Max 2

The Le 2 houses a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and PDAF. It includes a fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor and Dolby Atmos system. It is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will be available through Lemall.com and Flipkart soon.

LeEco Le Max 2:

The LeEco Le Max 2 flaunts a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display with 450 nits of brightness. Under the hood, it has 2.15GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor,  clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU. It will be offered in two variants; one with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, while another with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. It will be packed with a slightly larger 3100mAh battery.

Le 2 and Le Max 2

The Le Max 2 sports 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, PDAF, OIS, 6P lenses, and f/2.0 aperture. It includes Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, and measures 156.8 × 77.6 × 7.99mm while weighs 185 g. The LeEco Le Max 2 is priced at Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB RAM version whereas the 6GB RAM variant will cost Rs. 29,999. It will be available through Lemall.com and Flipkart from 28th June and registration begins June 20th.

Both the smartphones come with 1 year of LeEco membership worth Rs. 4900. The company has also launched the LeEco VR headset, however, there is no other information on it as for now.
