Huawei Nova 2s with four cameras, 6 GB RAM & 6 inch FHD+ bezel-less display launched in China

Huawei the giant Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched the Nova 2s, which is their newest addition to its Nova series of phones, in China. The Nova 2s comes in Black, Gray, Red, Rose Gold and Blue colors and is available to the Chinese consumers with a price of Yuan 2699 (Rs. 26,350 approx.) for the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB variant and Yuan 2999 (Rs. 29,265 approx.) for 6 GB + 64 GB variant. A customised special version of the phone which is called as Yixing Zhang has a configuration of 6 GB + 128 GB and is priced at Yuan 3999 (Rs. 33,165 approx.).

The phone specifications are quite interesting since it sports a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 LTPS 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by the powerful Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 960 (4 x 2.4 GHz A73 + 4 x 1.8 GHz A53) processor with an additional i6 co-processor and Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. There are two distinct configurations available for purchase – 6 GB RAM with 64 GB / 128 GB storage or a 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage, all of which are expandable up to 256 GB with microSD card. The phone comes pre-loaded with the latest Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0. It supports dual sim but comes with Hybrid slot.

As far as the optics are concerned, the phone packs some big numbers and comes with four cameras, two at the front and two on the back side. On the rear, there is a 16 MP (RGB) primary sensor and another 20 MP (Monochrome) sensor with an aperture size of f/1.8, LED flash, PDAF and 4K video recording. On the front, the Nova 2s sports a 20 MP primary camera with an aperture size of f/2.0 and a secondary camera of 2 MP with LED flash.

As for the dimensions of the phone are concerned, it measures 156.9×75.1×7.5 mm and weighs around 169 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor for security, placed on the front below the display. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / Glonass, NFC and USB Type-C. For power, the phone solely relies on a typical 3,340 mAh battery.

There is no word about its launch in India yet.
