Gionee S9 with 5.5-inch FHD display, 13MP+5MP dual rear cameras, 4GB RAM launched in China
The Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has launched a new smartphone in its home country, dubbed as ‘Gionee S9’ at a price of 2499 yuan (approx. Rs. 24,700). It is the successor of the Gionee S8 smartphone, which was launched in March this year.
The Gionee S9 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) LTPS 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, coupled with Mali T860 GPU. The processor is paired with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
On the camera front, it packs 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash and a 13MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers. It comes with 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via a micro SD card.
This hybrid dual-sim smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS 3.2 on top. It is backed by a 3000 mAh battery. It houses a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It measures at 154.2×76.4×7.4mm and weighs 168.2g.
The Gionee S9 comes in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colors. The smartphone will go on sale in China starting from 25th November.
