New OnePlus 5 images leaked; camera to be developed in partnership with DxO
The launch of OnePlus 5 is expected to be just round the corner and the smartphone is contentiously up with new leaks and rumours. Few days ago an image of OnePlus 5 prototype surfaced online which showed the smartphone with dual rear camera setup. There’s yet another set of leaked images now which shows a slight change in design compared to the previous leak.
A new prototype image of the OnePlus 5 was leaked online on a Chinese website, which shows a dual rear camera on the device. Interestingly it is different from what we have seen earlier. Here the dual LED flash is placed in between both the lenses of the dual rear camera, unlike in previous image where the flash light was placed below the camera. Also the recent images indicate that OnePlus seems to have omitted the 3.5 mm audio jack and the antenna bands appear to be absent as well.
Apart from the speculations and rumours about the dual rear camera of OnePlus 5, there is also an official news making its way through. The company has now officially confirmed that it has partnered with DxO to provide an improved camera performance on its upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone.
In a post on OnePlus official forum, a staff member announced that the company has partnered with DxO, saying:
“We’re happy to announce that we have teamed up with DxO to enhance your photography experience with our upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 5. DxO is perhaps most well-known for creating the defining photography benchmark, the DxOMark. They’ve got years of imaging experience and expertise, both for professional cameras and for smartphones.”
OnePlus, however didn’t reveal much about the camera setup or the sensors used. According to the company, working along side DxO, OnePlus 5 will be capable of capturing some of the clearest photos around, making it the best camera smartphone amongst other flagship phones available.
