Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM is now available for download
As promised, Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM v6.7.5 for its smartphones. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM is now available to download as OTA update from the MIUI Forum as well as the Mi Community in India.
The MIUI 8 Global ROM bring many new features such as new color schemes, animation and real-time video editing and Quick Ball feature, which is a hovering button that stays on-screen at all times and can have customized shortcuts. It also has the Dual App feature, so that users can now have two accounts of any app running on the smartphone, along with the smart Caller ID feature, T9 business search and free ringtones from Hungama.
However, the MIUI 8 beta ROM v6.7.5 is now available for Redmi Note (3G and 4G), Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 2 and Mi Max (32GB) smartphones only. The company has promised to roll out the MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM for its other smartphones gradually in the near future., whereas the MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM will be released on August 16th.
