Xiaomi’s first offline-only smartphone ‘Redmi 3S Plus’ launched in India at Rs. 9,499
Xiaomi launched two budget segment smartphones Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime in August this year. Now, Xiaomi has added an another budget smartphone under its portfolio, dubbed as ‘Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus’ at a price tag of Rs. 9,499. This is the company’s first offline only smartphone in Indian market. Till now, Xiaomi smartphones were sold through major e-commerce stores and its official website mi.com only.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.1 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor clubbed with Adreno 505 GPU. The processor on board is paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM.
On the photography front, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera, with f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording. It comes with 32 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.
This dual-sim smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. It sports fingerprint sensor as well. The smartphone is backed by a big 4100 mAh battery which is said to offer up to 2 days of battery life. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus comes in Dark grey, Silver and Gold colors. It is now available across more than 7,500 retailers from today i.e 1st October. It will also be available across key Large Format Retailers such as Poorvika, Sangeetha, BIG C, and LOT mobiles via Xiaomi’s distributors – Redington, Innocomm and Just Buy Live.
