Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime sales cross 1 million mark on Flipkart in less than four months
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime budget smartphones in India in August this year and sold it on mi.com and Flipkart. Today, the e-commerce giant Flipkart announced that it has sold over 1 million units of these smartphones in less than four months.
The milestone was shared by Flipkart on Twitter and to attract more buyers, it announced a contest as well which has already started and ends today midnight.

To recall, the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are almost similar, except the former has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while the latter has 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory along with the fingerprint sensor. Both the smartphones feature a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and are powered by 1.5GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 processor, coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7 on top.
Both the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 1080p video recording. They also have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording. The smartphones are packed with a 4000 mAh battery and offers connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS.
Earlier, in October, Xiaomi India announced that it had sold more than 500,000 smartphones in less than three days between October 1 to 3. The company also said that it had sold 2.3 million Redmi Note 3 units in six months.
