Xiaomi Mi TV 3 with 60-inch 4K screen, running Android 5.1 launched
Xiaomi Corporation, the giant Chinese tech startup has today announced their new device, not a smartphone nor a tablet, but it is a 60-inch smart TV supporting 4K resolution. The company unveiled the Mi TV 3 at their event in China. The new television from Xiaomi is the third generation of the company’s Mi TV series.
The new TV comes with a price tag of CNY 4,999 (approx. Rs. 50,ooo) offering a 6.5 inch Mi subwoofer designed with an aluminum body, accessible in both wired and Bluetooth connectivity for CNY 599 (approx. Rs. 6,000).
The Mi TV 3 has a 60-inch 4K (3840×2160 pixels) display developed by LG inheriting a 178-degree viewing angle along with the MEMC motion compensation. The high color gamut presence enriches the viewing experience, providing a great visual feast while watching the TV.
The company has given 11.6mm and 36.7mm thickness as the dimension parameters to the Mi TV 3 with a thick diamond aluminum alloy frame. The display of the new TV will last and work for about 10 years, making it a long run device, the user can replace the motherboard after every 18 months, says the company.
The company has installed a 1.4GHz quad-core MStar Cortex A17 chipset supported with a 2GB DDR3 RAM and an internal memory of 8GB on the TV. It runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop based MIUI skin alongside. It has the Dolby MS12 Virtual Surround Sound and Bass Boost. As for connectivity, it sports Wi-Fi, HDMI3.0x3, USB3.0x2, VGA and the Ethernet support.
