Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset with waterproof design and IPX4 rating launched in China
The Chinese company Xiaomi has extended their product range by launching their first Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset. The headset comes with waterproof and sweatproof design with the IPX4 rating. This wireless headsets are meant for sports enthusiasts who don’t want wires dangling around their tees as they pump iron or sprint.
The Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth headset has an on-ear design with a loop to keep it wrapped around the users’ ears even when they might be sprinting, exercising or jogging. The headset is fairly light and weighs around 17.8 grams only. It connects via Bluetooth v4.1 with a smartphone in under 3 seconds, claims Xiaomi. It features Multi-point that lets you connect the headset with multiple devices and allows you to switch between them quickly.
The Mi Sports Bluetooth headset comes with a 110 mAh battery that can last up to 7 hours. It is IPX4 rated and is therefore splash resistant and counters sweat as well while exercising. The on-ear plug comes with controls using which you can adjust volume, an in-line button to accept calls. It’s also claimed to be quite rugged and has been tested in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C.
The Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth headset come with five different silicon ear caps in various sizes and shapes. Noise-diminution, HD calls support are some more features in the earphone. The headset has been priced at 149 Yuan (approx. Rs. 1,500) and will be available for purchase from November 11 in China.
