The Xiaomi Mi 5s was launched in China in September this year. Now, a smaller variant of it, dubbed as ‘Xiaomi Mi S’ is leaked online sporting almost similar specifications as of the Mi 5s, except the screen size and battery. It would be a compact flagship smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi S sports a 4.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is said to be powered by 2.35GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB DDR4 RAM. It comes with 128GB (UFS 2.0) inbuilt storage, with no expandability option.

On the front, it has a 4-megapixel camera, with same f/2.0 aperture, 2µm pixel size, 80-degree wide-angle lens and 1080p video recording.
The Xiaomi Mi S will be backed by a 2600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It will also have a fingerprint sensor on the front, but it is not clear if this will be an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor like that on the Mi 5s. Connectivity options will include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz), MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. The device measures at 128.3x64x8.2mm and weighs at 138 grams.
