Xiaomi introduces 4K Mi Box powered by Android TV at Google I/O 2106
Xiaomi has announced its new 4K box powered by Android TV dubbed as Mi Box at the Google I/O event, yesterday. It comes bundled with Bluetooth voice remote that supports voice search and has optional Mi Game Controller.
The Mi Box has a 4K UHD video content playback at 60 frames per second and latest HDR10 standard (to be enabled from Android N onwards). It is powered by Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, coupled with Mali 450 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. It also has an 8GB eMMC flash memory and runs on Android 6.0.
The Mi Box has a Dolby Digital Plus and DTS surround sound system, and offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI 2.0a, and USB 2.0 port.
The Mi Box comes in Black color and will be launched in the US first, with other global markets to follow. Availability and pricing details will be announced soon.
