Xiaomi announces Mi Bunny; A smartwatch for kids with in-built SIM, panic button
Xiaomi has launched a new smartwatch, which is targeted at kids, dubbed as Mi Bunny, in China. The smartwatch is priced at 299 Yuan (approx. Rs. 3,100) and is now available on Mi.com.
The Mi Bunny smartwatch comes with a LED dot matrix display and Corning liquid silicone strap. It packs a 300mAh battery which is claimed to run for six days and the watch is compatible with phones running Android 4.2 and above. It has GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
The Mi Bunny smartwatch allows kids to make and receive calls, with the help of its in-built SIM. The device can store up to 12 family members contact details and will automatically reject call from strangers. It also has a panic button that sends out distress signal to parents. It can record kid’s day-to-day activities continuously for three months.
The Mi Bunny smartwatch is waterproof and will be offered in blue and pink colors.
Xiaomi will also unveil the Mi Band 2, along with Mi Max and MIUI 8 on 10th May, in China.
