Sony Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ with 3GB RAM and 23MP rear camera launched at IFA 2016
As expected, Sony has launched two new smartphones dubbed as, Sony Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ at the ongoing IFA 2016 event in Berlin, Germany. Both these smartphones will be available from October.
Sony Xperia X Compact:
The Sony Xperia X Compact comes with a 4.6-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is armed with a Snapdragon 650 64-bit hexa-core processor, coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM. It offers 32GB internal memory, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.The Xperia X Compact sports a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilization, and 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3.06” Exmor RS sensor and 1080p video recording. It is backed by a 2700 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology and includes a fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It measures 129 x 65 x 9.5 mm and weighs 135 grams. The Sony Xperia X Compact will be offered in Mist Blue, Universe Black, and White color variants.
Sony Xperia XZ:
The Sony Xperia XZ flaunts a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor, clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU and 3GB RAM. It will be offered in 32GB/64GB storage variants, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.On the photography front, the Xperia XZ houses a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilization, and 4K video recording. It also has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor and 1080p video recording. It is water-resistant, includes a fingerprint sensor and is packed with a 2900 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It measures 146 x 72 x 8.1 mm and weighs 161 grams. The Sony Xperia XZ will be offered in Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum color variants.
