Samsung Galaxy J1: Now Official at Malaysian Website
Samsung Galaxy J1 has now gone official, it is listed on company’s Malaysian website. Though it is listed on the website which is showcasing its features, its price and availability details are yet to be disclosed. However, a month ago its price was tipped from an online retailer as approximately Rs. 10,000, but it is not confirmed by Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy J1 is the first smartphone in the all new Galaxy J series. Galaxy J1 is a dual-sim smartphone running Android 4.4 Kitkat Out-of-the-box, with no Android 5.0 Lollipop update as of now. It features a 4.3 inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution TFT display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 512 MB of RAM.
The Galaxy J1 also sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, both of which feature CMOS sensors. The front-facing camera additionally boasts of a palm selfie feature that lets users click a selfie image using hand gestures. The Galaxy J1 comes with 4 GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via micro SD card up to massive 128 GB storage.
The Samsung Galaxy J1 is backed up by a 1859 mAh battery. An Ultra Power Saving Mode is also available on the Galaxy J1 to extend the battery usage. The handset will be available in Black, Blue and White colour variants.
Galaxy J1 can be a good budget smartphone with adequate features at decent price. However, there are no words from Samsung yet about the price and availability of this budget smartphone.
