Oppo A77 with 4 GB RAM, 16MP front camera and 5.5-inch Full HD display launched
Chinese phone maker Oppo has launched its A77 smartphone increasing the list of smartphones under the A series. Oppo A77 is another mid-range selfie centric smartphone from the company which highlights the above average capabilities of the front camera. As of now the smartphone is only launched in Taiwan at a price of TWD 10,990 which roughly translates to Rs. 23,500. Oppo A77 is available in Gold and Rose Gold color variants.
Coming towards the specifications, the Oppo A77 sports a 5.5 Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit processor with Mali T860 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB via microSD card. Oppo A77 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ColorOS 3.0 on top.
Oppo A77 being a selfie centric smartphone, excels in that department. The smartphone bears a 16 MP front-facing camera with 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, 1/3.1-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Oppo A77 is the first smartphone to come with a “Selfie Portrait” mode in a single lens system. There is also a 13 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, 1/3-inch sensor, 1.12 um pixel size and f/2.2 aperture.
The connectivity options of the smartphone include Dual-sim support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. Oppo A77 boasts a full metal body and front mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button. The smartphone houses a 3,200 mAh battery for its powering and measures 153.29×75.24×7.3 mm along with 153 g of weight.
As mentioned earlier the smartphone is only available in Taiwan and its availability in India or other markets is still unknown. Considering Oppo’s popularity in India we can expect the smartphone to hit the shelves in country soon. Also apart from this, Oppo is rumoured to be working on a new smartphone dubbed ‘R11’ which was recently spotted on benchmarking portal AnTuTu. The smartphone is speculated to hold a dual rear camera setup with 20 MP sensors each and a 20 MP front camera as well.
