OnePlus 3 with Snapdragon 820, 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage launched at Rs. 27,999

The Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus has finally launched its much-awaited flagship phone, dubbed as OnePlus 3 globally at its VR event, yesterday. The smartphone with anodized aluminium unibody design is now exclusively available on Amazon.in at Rs, 27,999.

The OnePlus 3 flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Optic AMOLED display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, it has quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with 64-bit architecture, clocked at 2.15GHz, which is clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU and 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM along with 64 GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Oxygen OS 3.1 on top.

On the photography front, the OnePlus 3 boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, 1.12-micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, OIS, 4K video recording at 30 fps, and 720p slow motion at 120fps. It also sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX179 sensor, 1.4-micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, and 1080p video recording. The smartphone houses a fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds, an alert slider, bottom-facing speaker, and dual microphone for noise cancellation.

The OnePlus 3 gets its juice from a 3000mAh battery with a new Dash Charge technology that can charge the phone up to 60% in just 30 minutes with the 5V-4A charger. The dual Sim smartphone offers connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It measures 152.7 × 74.7 × 7.35mm and weighs 158 g.

The OnePlus 3 is now offered in Graphite color only, however the company has promised to bring Soft Gold color variant very soon. In India, it comes with 1 year of accidental damage protection with OnePlus Care , 1-year free subscription to Saavn Pro, and 1 year of double-data for Idea users. It also offers Rs. 500 e-book promotion credits on downloading the Kindle app.
