Nokia 3 goes on sale at offline retail stores near you from today
As it was scheduled, the Nokia 3 smartphone goes on sale via offline retail stores from today. The smartphone was launched along side Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 on Tuesday, 13 June in India. While Nokia 6 is going to be Amazon exclusive, the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are to be sold offline only, amongst which, Nokia 3 is now available. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 9,499 and available in color choices of Silver White, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Copper White.
Nokia, this time is going by the offline route for the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 smartphones. As per the company, there are 400 exclusive distributors who will cover around 8,000 offline stores across the country where the smartphones will be available.
The company has also given due attention to the after sales services with its ‘Nokia Mobile Care’ which will have physical care centres in 300 cities and pickup and drop facility in 100 cities across India. The company will also provide support on web, chats and calls. The company further mentioned that the smartphones will be manufactured in India under ‘Make in India‘ scheme, starting with the Nokia 3.
Coming towards the specifications, Nokia 3 is more of an entry level smartphone from the company. It sports a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The smartphone has a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor under the hood coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage with further expandability via microSD card.
The imaging department includes an 8 MP rear camera along with an 8 MP camera on the front as well. The Nokia 3 houses a 2,630 mAh battery to keep things running. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB OTG support. The sensors on-board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor along with NFC.
