New Xiaomi smartphone named MBT6A5 with deca-core processor spotted online
While the rumour mill for Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone Mi 6 is heating up, there’s another smartphone that has been spotted on China’s certification website TEENA, named Xiaomi MBT6A5. This new device looks like an advanced version of the Xiaomi Note 4X that was launched last month in China.
The specifications of the Xiaomi MBT6A5 listed on TEENA include a 5.5 inch Full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) TFT display, a 2 GHz deca-core processor under the hood assumed to be a MediaTek Helio X20 or X25 chipset. The smartphone is provided with a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Xiaomi MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Optics include a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front camera for selfies. For connectivity there is dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The smartphone holds a 4,000 mAh battery to power itself. The device measures 151x76x8.35 mm and weighs 175 grams with Gold, Gray, Silver, White, Black, Pink, Champagne Gold, Frosted Black, Dark Gray and Cherry Blossom color options.
There aren’t much differences if the phone is to be compared with the Xiaomi Note 4X. The only difference that could occur is with the processor, where Xiaomi Note 4X comes with a MediaTek Helio 620 processor. Also, the Note 4X sports a bigger battery of 4,100 mAh. The design of both the smartphones looks similar except the fact that Xiaomi Note 4X holds a 2.5D curved glass.
