Motorola to launch a new smartphone at its event scheduled on 25th July in New York
Lenovo-owned Motorola has scheduled an event on 25th July and it seems like this time we will surely see one of its upcoming smartphones getting unveiled. Prior to this, Moto has scheduled a few events in the last month as well where it was speculated to unveil the upcoming Moto Z2, Moto Z2 Force or the Moto X4, but sadly nothing of that sort happened. Though the company hasn’t mentioned a specific name of any smartphone but it is highly expected that we could see either of the aforementioned smartphones.
Motorola is apparently sending out press invites for the event dubbed by the name #hellomotoworld, scheduled on 25th July in New York. Although it could be any of the upcoming smartphones but there is a slightly higher chance of the Moto X4 to arrive considering the smartphone has been a part of several leaks lately. Similarly, Moto Z2 has also been up with a few leaks which still keep it in the running.
Talking about the Moto X4, it was speculated to be unveiled on the 30th of last month. The smartphone as per previous leaks, will most probably sport a 5.2-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz. The device is expected to come with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which will further be expandable via microSD card. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1 Nougat.
In the imaging department, it will hold a dual rear camera setup with 12 MP and 8 MP sensors along with a 16 MP selfie shooter on the front. The smartphone will pack a 3,000 mAh battery to power itself, and it is also speculated to hold IP68 rating which makes the device water and dust resistant. It will feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor as well, which along with unlocking the device, will also recognize simple gestures for duplicating the functionality of the on-screen navigation buttons.
Coming towards Moto Z2, it is speculated to sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixel) display and will be powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz. The smartphone will come with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which will most probably be expandable via microSD card. Moto Z2 appears to be running on Android 7.1 Nougat. The smartphone will be coming with a dual rear camera setup out of which one will be a 12 MP sensor. It is also speculated to hold a 5 MP front camera same as that of its predecessor.
