Moto X4 specifications & press render leaked, to come with dual rear camera setup and premium metal body
Lenovo-owned Motorola was expected to unveil a number of smartphones last month, but sadly nothing of that sort happened. However, the leaks regarding those upcoming smartphones are still surfacing above. There is a recent leak about the fairly rumoured Moto X4 smartphone which was speculated to be unveiled on the 30th of last month. The new leak contains a press render of the smartphone along with the specifications giving a better idea about it.
The tipster Evan Blass has shared a press render of alleged Moto X4 smartphone giving a closer look to its design. Along with this he also posted the possible specifications of the smartphone with a more detailed approach than the previous leaks which don’t quite resemble to the current one.
Looking at the press render, the smartphone holds a design similar to Moto G5 series but with a more premium finish and a metal uni-body. It bears a dual rear camera set-up, a fact that was expected earlier as well. The smartphone appears to be coming with a full 3D glass at the front and back and a nearly bezel-less display.
Coming towards the specifications, as per Venture Beat, citing a person with knowledge of company’s plans, most of the specs leaked earlier are wrong. The Moto X4 will most probably sport a 5.2-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz. The device is speculated to come with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which will further be expandable via microSD card. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1 Nougat.
In the imaging department, it will hold a dual rear camera setup with 12 MP and 8 MP sensors along with a 16 MP selfie shooter on the front. The smartphone will pack a 3,000 mAh battery to power itself, and it is also speculated to hold IP68 rating which makes the device water and dust resistant. It will feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor as well, which along with unlocking the device, also recognizes simple gestures for duplicating the functionality of the on-screen navigation buttons.
According to a previous report, the smartphone will fall in the mid-range segment and is expected to be a part of Project Fi’s roster later this year. The Moto X4 will become available in the fourth quarter, just in time for the big holiday shopping season.
