Moto Z2 press render leaks, reveals dual camera set up and Moto Mods support
There’s a new leak of one or the other Motorola phone in every couple of days ever since the Moto G5 and Mot0 G5 Plus have been launched. It’s been a fairly busy time specially for the Moto fans with a heap of leaks and rumours about the upcoming Moto smartphones. After the leaks of the Moto E4 which was followed by the rumours of the affordable Moto C and Moto C Plus, it is now time for the flagship smartphone of Motorola, the Moto Z2 to show up.
Recently, a press render of the Moto Z2 is leaked, which shows that the smartphone will sport a dual rear camera setup. Its predecessor Moto Z, which was launched last year had a very modern day approach to the design and by the leaked images of the Moto Z2, it looks like the base design is going to remain the same as that of the Moto Z. No major change in the design has ben spotted as of now.
Although, there are some minor changes, for instance the fingerprint scanner on the front has a changed shape in the Moto Z2. The square shaped fingerprint scanner on the Moto Z has been replaced with an oval shaped one similar to that in the Moto G5 series. Added to this, there’s also the earlier mentioned dual-camera setup on the back, it will be quite interesting to see how Motorola implements it.
For time being, only the design related information is out and there are no details what so ever regarding the hardware specifications of the smartphone. However, the Moto Z2 being a flagship smartphone from the company we can expect it to bear high-end specifications for sure. Previously, there was a rumour that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC which could possibly be true considering Moto’s reputation.
One thing is clear from the design, that the Moto Z2 will also support Moto Mods and there is high possibility that some new Moto Mods might also arrive this year along with the smartphone. Few of them were also showcased in the MWC 2017 along side the Moto G5 smartphones.
