Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones with Android 7.1 Nougat launched
After tons of leaks and rumours, the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones from Lenovo-owned Motorola have now been announced. Both the smartphones come in as entry level devices and bear the specifications resembling to the previous leaks. The Moto E4 is priced at $129.99 (Rs. 8,400 approx) where as Moto E4 Plus comes with a price tag of $179.99 (Rs. 11,600 approx), while the availability of the smartphones is yet to be announced. The smartphones will come in Licorice Black, Fine Gold and Iron Gray color options.
Moto E4:
Taking about the specifications, they fall in line with the previous leaks and rumours as mentioned earlier. The Moto E4 sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) LCD display and has a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor under the hood. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which is the latest version.
The imaging department includes an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera for selfies. The Moto E4 packs a 2,800 mAh battery as mentioned in the report and contains 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11n and GPS as connectivity options.
Moto E4 Plus:
Coming towards the bigger variant that is the Moto E4 Plus, it bears a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD display and is powered by the same 1.4 GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. The smartphone will be available in two variants, one with 2 GB RAM and another with 3 GB RAM accompanying 16 GB internal storage expandable upto 128 GB via microSD. The storage variants will most probably be region specific. The Moto E4 Plus is also running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The optics of Moto E4 Plus include a 13 MP rear camera with auto-focus and f/2.0 aperture, alongside a 5 MP front-facing camera with flash. The smartphone houses a massive 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging support and the connectivity options remain same as of Moto E4.
It is expected that both the smartphones will go on sale from 22 June and will be Amazon exclusive. Also the arrival of smartphones in India is still unknown but again it is expected to hit the shelves in country soon after being available globally.
