The home grown smartphone maker Micromax is all set to launch a new high end device dubbed as ‘Canvas Infinity’ to take on the current bezel-less flagships from LG and Samsung. The smartphone is scheduled to be launched on 22nd August for which the company has already been sending press invites. Now Micromax has shared another teaser emphasising over its large bezel-less display which is said to be the biggest highlight of the smartphone.
The video teasers shared by the company through twitter, features a short animated clip with “EXPAND YOUR VIEW” written at the bottom, clearly highlighting the big display. Moreover the caption on the teaser reads, “Your smartphone experience is about to get a notch higher.#ExpandYourView #CanvasInfinity coming soon.” Apart from this, Micromax has also shared the link of its website where you can register for the smartphone.

The Canvas Infinity is the first smartphone from Micromax to incorporate the OLED display technology with the aspect ratio of 18:9, similar to that of the Galaxy S8 and LG G6. Also with this, Micromax becomes the third company in the world and first Indian company to do so.
Apart from the display, there is not much known about the smartphone as of now. Going by the rumours, the Canvas Infinity is said to sport a 5.7-inch display and could be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4 GB /6 GB RAM. The smartphone is also speculated to hold a 16 MP single rear camera with high-end features.
The Infinity phone will stand in competition with the flagships from Samsung and LG but what makes things interesting is that while the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 cost well over Rs. 50,000 the Micromax Infinity will come at a price between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000. However, it’ll also be interesting to see how the company manages to keep the cost low, as a bezel-less display with aspect ratio of 18:9 requires flexible OLED solution which is not that cheap to get. There are just a few more days to go before the smartphone is unveiled and we get the answers to all our doubts.
We’ll keep you updated, stay tuned!
