Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max design & specs leaked; hints at a Bezel-less display, Snapdragon 836 SoC & 8 GB RAM
Lenovo seems to be planning to jump back into the running with its ZUK brand. The company is apparently looking to compete against upcoming flagships as a Lenovo smartphone dubbed ZUK Z3 Max has been leaked with high-end specifications.
A picture of alleged Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max has been posted on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, along with a screen shot bearing some key specifications of the smartphone. Looking at the leaked image, the Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max appears to be sporting a bezel-less display following the trend started by Samsung Galaxy S8.
We can clearly see the volume rockers and the power on/off button on the right hand side of the device. The bottom of the device is not visible hence it is still uncertain weather the smartphone will hold a physical home button and if yes, will it embedded a fingerprint sensor.
Coming towards the leaked specifications, the ZUK Z3 Max is listed to sport a Snapdragon 836 SoC which is possible considering it is a high-end device and has still got a long way before it hit the shelves. However, the Snapdragon 836 chipset is not yet announced by Qualcomm but it is expected to do so in July.
The leak also hints that the smartphone will come with a massive 8 GB RAM along with 256 GB of internal storage which is also quite possible going by the latest trend of flagship smartphones. There are also assumptions that the company might also bring another variant with 6 GB RAM. It is most likely that the device will run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box with the company’s own ZUI user interface on top.
It is worth noting that the leak comes days after it was rumoured that Lenovo would be killing the ZUK brand to concentrate on Lenovo-Motorola devices. Sadly Lenovo’s smartphones haven’t been able to do very well on their own, the way Motorola smartphones have succeeded. Coming up with a high-end device like Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max might as well be company’s step to be back in the game.
