iPhone 6s to come in India in early October, Apple watch reported to come next week
Apple has introduced the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus two days ago at its global event in San Francisco. The phone will be available in many countries from September 25 but sadly no dates for the Indian launch were announced but, the latest report by The Economic Times state that the company may bring the new smartphones in the first half of October while the Apple Watch may come in next week only.
Apple has started informing trade partners about the launch of the new iPhones by October 10-11, and if the launch really happens this soon it will be the fastest ever launch of any Apple product in India after its global announcement.
“An October launch will give it a significant time to align its marketing campaign well ahead of Diwali unlike last year when it got just a week for the same and also leveraging upon its expanded distribution coverage now as compared to an year ago,” said Tarun Pathak, senior analyst at market tracker Counterpoint Research.
If these reports come out true then it will hurt the most to Samsung which knows the importance of the Indian market and did its best to bring its 2015 flagships Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 inline with global markets and much ahead of the Festive season in India. For the companies, this extreme competition will cost money but for us, it will be interesting to see towards which brand the consumers align more, as this time the flagships from both the companies are really good, and win over each other in some or the other way!
