After launching the Huawei Mate 9, Porsche Design Mate 9 and the Mate 9 Pro, Huawei has added yet another smartphone in its Mate series, dubbed as ‘Mate 9 Lite.’ The company has silently listed the smartphone on its website.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by an Octa-core (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) Kirin 655 processor. The phone comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
This smartphone also packs dual rear-camera setup, like its other siblings but without Leica lenses and includes a 12MP sensor with 1.25nm pixels, PDAF and a 2MP sensor for bokeh effect. On the front, it sports an 8MP camera.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top. It is backed by a 3340 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear below the dual-camera setup. It measures at 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2 mm and weighs at 162g.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite will be available in three colour variants – Grey, Gold and Silver. However, the company has not provided any details about availability or pricing of the smartphone yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
