Huawei Honor 6X with 5.5-inch FHD display and dual-rear cameras launched in China

Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei has launched its mid-range smartphone – Honor 6X at an event in China. The smartphone is up for pre-order in China and will go on sale from 25th October.

The Honor 6X sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display. It is powered by Octa-core Kirin 655 16nm processor coupled with Mali T830-MP2. It comes in three variants 3GB / 4GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32 GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage, internal memory is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.

On the photography front, it houses dual rear cameras, comprising a 12-megapixel camera with LED Flash, 6P lens, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF and a 2-megapixel camera for achieving depth of field and background blur. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1.

This hybrid dual-sim smartphone houses a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel which unlocks the device in 0.3 seconds. It is backed by a 3340 mAh battery with fast-charging support. On the connectivity part, it includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. It measures 150.9×72.6×8.2mm and weighs 162g.

The Honor 6X comes in Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue and Rose Gold colour variants. The 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant is priced at 999 Yuan ( approx. Rs. 9,885), the 3 GB RAM + 64 GB variant is priced at 1299 Yuan (approx. Rs. 12,850) and the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB variant is priced at 1599 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15,825).
