Honor 9i Lite with 5.65 inch Full HD+ 18:9 display, Quad cameras, Android Oreo launched in China

The giant Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei, got some success with the Huawei Honor 9i, which is packed with a quad-camera set up, with dual cameras on the front and another two on the rear. But Honor 9i being more on the higher side of the budget smartphones, the company has now come up with a lighter version of the phone known as Honor 9i Lite, which is launched today in China. The phone retains the highlighting feature of quad cameras from the Honor 9i, though with some changes.
Delving into the specifications and features of the Honor 9i Lite, like its premium counterpart, the phone features an 18:9 aspect ratio bezel-less display. The Honor 9i Lite sports a 5.65-inch full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection. The phone runs on an Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor clocked at 2.36 GHz and coupled with a MaliT830-MP2 GPU. The Honor 9i Lite runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, based on EMUI 8.0 out of the box. The phone will be available in 3 variants depending upon the memory configurations of 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage, 4 GB RAM / 32 GB storage, and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage.
The Honor 9i Lite, like its premium counterpart, features a quad-camera setup. The Honor 9i Lite features a dual camera with 13 MP (f/2.0 aperture) primary and a secondary 2 MP sensor, LED flash, PDAF on the rear and the exact same dual camera set up on the front, with LED flash as well. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and for power, it’s dependent on a 3000mAh battery.
Talking about the physical features of the phone, it has a metal frame with glass coating on the back and has dimensions of 151× 71.9 × 7.6mm with weight around 149g. For network and connectivity, the phone depends upon 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and has location support through GPS, GLONASS.
The Honor 9 Lite is available to consumers in Black, Blue, Grey and Black colors. Coming to the pricing, in China, the Honor 9i Lite is available at a price of CN¥ 1199 (₹ 11,670 approx.) for the 3 GB/ 32 GB variant, CN¥ 1499 (₹ 14,590 approx.) for the 4 GB/ 32 GB variant, while the 4 GB/ 64 GB variant is priced at CN¥ 1799 (₹ 17,500 approx.). It is now available for orders in China and goes on sale from 26th December. The company is also planning to launch the phone in India soon.
