Huawei’s sub brand Honor announced a new smartphone, Honor 6A in China. The smartphone comes under budget segment and bears some well to do specifications. Honor 6A is launched in two different variants, i.e one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage priced at 799 yuan (Rs. 7,500 approx) and another with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage priced at 999 yuan (Rs. 9,375 approx). The smartphone comes in Gold, Silver, Blue and Pink color options and will be available from 1st June in China.
The Honor 6A sports a 5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone comes with 2 GB/ 3 GB RAM along with 16 GB/ 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded upto 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.
Coming towards the imaging department, the Honor 6A holds a 13 MP rear camera with PDAF, 28 mm 5p lens and LED flash. There is also a 5 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The connectivity options of the smartphone include, Dual-sim support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS/GLONASS.
As far as the design is concerned, the Honor 6A boasts a metal uni-body with a fingerprint sensor embedded on the rear panel which has a response time of as quick as 0.5 sec. The smartphone packs a 3020 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver upto 12 hours of video playback or 57 hours of music playback. The device measures 143.7 x 70.95×8.2 mm and weighs 143 gm.
The smartphone for time being will be only available in China and its availability in India or other markets around the world is unknown. However, considering the record of Huawei, we can expect it to hit the shelves in India in coming months.
