Asus ZenFone Live with real-time face beautification and dual MEMS mics launched at Rs. 9,999

Asus has just launched its ZenFone Live smartphone in India. The smartphone was announced back in February and boasts its above average live streaming capabilities. The company claims that Asus ZenFone Live is the first smartphone in the world to provide real-time beautification with the help of its Live Beautification app. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be available via online and offline channels across the country. The smartphone comes in Shimmer Gold, Rose Pink and Navy Black color variants.

As mentioned earlier, the company perpetually emphasises the Live streaming abilities of ZenFone Live. The smartphone comes with Live Beautification app which will reduce the blemishes and spots on the face to make it look more presentable and that too in real time while the users are live.

Although the beautification feature is not new in the smartphones, it was just used for selfies and still photography prior to this. Making it work in real-time could prove to be very helpful while going live on various social networking sites, which has become quite a trend at present. Apart from this, the smartphone also comes with dual MEMS microphones to help eliminate background noise and enhance voice pickup which ensures a better audio quality while streaming live.

Coming towards the specifications, the Asus ZenFone Live sports a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood the smartphone has got a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded (upto 128 GB) via microSD card. The ZenFone Live runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 on top.

Asus calls the ZenFone Live to be a camera centric smartphone which sports a 13 MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. On the front, there is a 5 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4 um pixel size, soft LED flash, 82-degree wide-angle lens and also not to forget the Live Beautification app. For connectivity, there is Dual sim support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio. The smartphone packs a 2,650 mAh battery for its powering and measures 141.18 x 71.74 x 7.95 mm along with 120g of weight.
