Asus ZenFone 4 with dual rear camera setup to launch on on 17th August
After sending out the press invites for launch of Asus ZenFone 4 in Philippines on 19th August, the company has now released a new teaser confirming its launch on 17th August in Taiwan. While not much is known regarding the smartphone, the teaser shows that the Asus ZenFone 4 will hold a dual rear camera setup.
Asus has already launched its ZenFone 4 Max in Russia last month which also sports a dual camera. As per the reports, Asus is most probably planning to launch five different smartphones in the ZenFone 4 series namely the ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Selfie, ZenFone 4V and ZenFone 4 Max. The ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro are said to be mid-range devices where as the ZenFone 4 Pro is said to be an high-end device with premium specifications sporting a 5.7-inch display and a Snapdragon 835 SoC.
As mentioned earlier, not much is known regarding the ZenFone 4, however the ZenFone 4 Selfie was recently spotted on GFXbench. The smartphone as per the leaks, is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display and is speculated to be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The device is said to come with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage and will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The selfie-focused smartphone has been tipped to pack a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel front sensor – both with 4K support.
To recall, The ZenFone 4 Max sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone comes in two different variants consisting of two different chipsets where its availability will most probably be region dependent. One variant of the ZenFone 4 Max is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, while the other comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC under the hood.
The smartphone comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. It runs on the latest ZenUI version based on Android 7.0 Nougat. In the imaging department, the smartphone holds two 13 MP cameras on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. There is also an 8 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.
