Asus announces Zenbook 3, Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro at Computex 2016
Asus has officially launched the Zenbook 3, Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro computers at the ongoing Computex 2016 in Taiwan, along with the Zenfone 3 smartphones. All these devices run on Windows 10.
Asus Zenbook 3:
The Asus Zenbook 3 features a 12.5-inch display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, paired with 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen 3 x4 SSD storage. It has a battery life of 9 hours and comes with fast-charging technology that can charge up to 60% battery in just 49 minutes.
The Zenbook 3 comes with quad-speaker audio by Harman Kardon and supports USB Type-C port. It also has built-in fingerprint reader with Windows Hello support that offers one-touch access, and the laptop is made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. It comes in Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz Grey color variants, while the prices start at $999 (approx Rs. 67,200).
Asus Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro:
Asus Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro are the ultra-slim 2-in-1 PC’s that feature a 12.6-inch display with a 2880 x 1920 resolution and 275 ppi pixel density. The Transformer 3 is powered by Intel Core i7 processor, paired with 16GB of 2133MHz RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe Gen 3 x4 SSD storage. On the other hand, the Transformer 3 Pro is powered by 7th generation Intel Core processor with up to 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD storage.
Both the Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro feature the USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 connections, Harmon Kardon speakers, fingerprint reader and HDMI ports. The 2-in-1 PCs are also compatible with ASUS accessories such as the Pen, a Universal Dock, an AudioPod, and the ROG XG Station 2. Both the devices will be available in Icicle Gold and Glacier Gray color variants.
The Asus Transformer 3 Pro price starts at $999 (approx. Rs. 67,200) while the Transformer 3 will start at $799 (approx. Rs. 53,700).
