After announcing the Android N in March this year, Google asked its users to suggest the name for Android 7.0. Many names like Noodle pudding, New York Cheesecake, Neyyappam, Nankhatai, NutsRoll, etc came up, but one that will stick with Android lovers is Nougat. Yes, Android N will be officially known as Android Nougat.
Google has posted a video to Android’s official YouTube channel that shows the unveiling of the Nougat statue on Google’s campus. The video also confirms the version 7.0, as looking at its past versions, it was unclear whether Android N would be Android 6.1, 6.5, 7.0, or something else.
Google has confirmed that the stable Android 7.0 Nougat will be available by the end of Q3 2016 (this September), and the HTC made two nexus devices will be the first to run on the Android 7.0 Nougat.
