Honor 9 Lite with 4 cameras , 18:9 aspect ratio display leaked; to launch on 21st December in China
World’s third largest smartphone manufacturer Huawei is all set for a new addition to their range of 18:9 aspect ratio phones. If the reports and leaked images on TENAA are to be believed, consumers can get a pretty good picture of what they can expect out of the Honor 9 Lite. Honor 9 Lite’s unique selling point, like its more premium counterpart Honor 9i, will be its quad camera set-up of 13 MP + 2 MP each. And with such an addition to a budget smartphone, Huawei can certainly expect a handsome growth in its sales.
As for the possible specifications of Honor 9 Lite are concerned, if the leaks are to believed, the smartphone is going to sport a 5.65-inch screen with Full HD+ 18:9 ratio display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It will supposedly be powered by an octa-core Huawei Kirin 659 processor. The phone will possibly run on Android 8.0 (Oreo) out of the box with EMUI 8.0. It will come with 4 GB RAM, 32 GB/ 64 GB storage and Mali T830-MP2 GPU. The phone will come with a microSD slot with which users can expand the memory up to 256 GB.
As far as the physical components of the Honor 9 Lite are concerned, the phone will have dimensions of 151 × 71.9 × 7.6 mm and will weigh somewhere around 149 grams and will be available in Black, White, Blue and Gray colours. The Honor 9 Lite may feature a 3000 mAh battery. Speculations are running awry, whether it will support charging via microUSB 2.0 or a much sophisticated alternative, USB Type C. But as of now, since it’s a smartphone on a budget, the former seems to be the most likely choice.
The leaks did not reveal much about the price and other specifications about the phone, but the reports suggest for a 21st December launch of the phone. The phone might only see an initial launch in China, and then on a later date will go out in the global markets.
