BlackBerry Priv now available in US,UK and Canada; priced at $699
BlackBerry has now finally listed its first Android smartphone, BlackBerry Priv on its online store. The Slider smartphone is now available for pre-order and shipping will start in US and Canada from November 6th and in UK from 9th November.
The Priv is priced at $699 (Approx. Rs. 45,400) in the U.S, GBP 559 (Approx. Rs. 55,700) in the U.K, and CAD 899 (Approx. Rs. 44,400) in Canada. However, the company hasn’t mentioned about its Indian availability yet.
The BlackBerry Priv which is touted as the most secured Android phone ever, flaunts a 5.4 inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED curved display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, paired with 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of inbuilt storage space, expandable via microSD card.
The Priv sports a 18 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, phase detect auto focus, dual LED flash, and 4K video capture. It also has an 2 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
All the specs and design seems to be good for the smartphone, hopefully it will bring back some good days for BlackBerry.
