Meizu M2 with 13MP rear camera launched in India at Rs. 6999
Today, Meizu (the latest competitor in Indian market from China) has released their new smartphone Meizu M2 at an entry-level price of Rs. 6,999. The device is the descendant of Meizu’s M1 as the company stated while launching the successor with new features and some add-ons. The Meizu M2 was earlier launched at Beijing in July for enclosing the gap with the leading smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi.
The device was expected to be launched on 12th October but with a new update on Twitter Thursday night, the company revealed the details regarding the smartphone releasing today.
Going on the specs, it boasts a 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek Quad-core Cortex-A53 chipset which gets the support of 2GB DDR3 RAM with a 16GB of internal memory expandable with a micro-SD card up to 128GB. The display of the device is 5-inch HD (1280×720) display protected by AGC Dragontrail Glass. The phone comes with the polycarbonate unibody design and has a premium metal finish to enhance the looks. Meizu M2 runs on the Flyme 4.5 UI that is based on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop inheriting the features to enhance the battery and boost the performance for the users. Battery of the device is 2500mAh providing enough power to last up to a day.
As per the camera of the device, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera containing Samsung CMOS sensor with f/2.2 aperture and protected by Gorilla Glass 3 lens, the front camera is 5MP with 4P lens and f/2.0 aperture plus the FotoNation 2.0 to ensure the clicking of good selfies. The Meizu M2 supports Dual-Sim, both supporting 4G-LTE along with other connectivity options Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Meizu M2 will be available only on Snapdeal from 12th October. It will compete with the Lenovo A6000 Plus, Yu Yuphoria and Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime that are currently ruling the price segment from past several months.
