Vivo V5 with 20MP selfie camera, 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor launched in India at Rs. 17,980
As scheduled, Vivo has launched its selfie-focused smartphone, dubbed as the ‘Vivo V5’ at a price tag of Rs. 17,980 in India. The Vivo V5 Plus is also expected to be launched in India soon.
The Vivo V5 comes with a metal body design and a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and a 2.5D Gorilla glass laid on top. On the performance front, it is powered by a 1.8GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, clubbed with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Vivo V5 sports a 20MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and Moonlight LED flash. While on the rear, it packs a 13MP camera with LED flash and PDAF. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 2.6.
This hybrid dual-sim smartphone is backed by a 3000 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is embedded under the home button below the display. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS and USB OTG. The dedicated AK4376 chip on the Vivo V5 offers Hi-Fi sound. It measures at 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm and weighs 154g.
The Vivo V5 comes in Crown Gold and Space Grey colour options. It will be available for pre-order from 16th to 25th November and goes on sale from November 26th.
