Samsung Gear VR with USB Type C announced
Samsung has launched a new version of Gear VR headset, along with the Galaxy Note 7 at its event in New York, yesterday. The new VR is priced at $99 and will go on sale on August 19.
The Samsung Gear VR headset features a new touchpad and also supports up to 101-degree field of view for immersive video and gaming experience. It sports accelerometer, gyro meter, and proximity sensors. It also includes a micro-USB connector, which will enable users to swap the USB Type-C connector. It measures 207.8 x 122.5 x 98.6 mm and weighs 312 g.
The Samsung Gear VR headset will be compatible with the Galaxy Note 7, S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+. It will be available in Blue and Black color.
