Moto G5 Plus launched in India starting at Rs. 14,999; to be available on Flipkart from midnight
A few days ago Motorola and Flipkart both announced through a tweet that the Moto G5 Plus will be available from 15th March in India. And as scheduled, the Moto G5 Plus has been officially launched for sale in India. The smartphone has been launched in two variants, one comes with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage priced at Rs. 14,999 and another with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage priced at Rs. 16,999.
The Moto G5 Plus will be exclusively available on Flipkart from today midnight (12:00 am, 16 Mar 2017) itself. Flipkart and Motorola are also offering some exciting launch offers along with the Moto G5 Plus, which includes an additional Rs. 1,500 bonus on exchange, 10% cash back on purchase with SBI credit card and no-cost EMIs which start at Rs. 1889 a month. Along with all these offers, you can also buy the Moto Pulse 2 headset worth Rs. 1,299 at a discounted price of Rs. 599. Flipkart has also introduced a new ‘Buyback guarantee program’ which ensures a Rs. 7,000 exchange value for the Moto G5 Plus when you upgrade to a new Motorola phone in future.

The company also highlighted some new features of the Moto G5 Plus during the launch event, where camera and its advancements stole the show. Motorola claims it to be the best camera phone in this price range, stating that it is much better than its only competitor which is its predecessor Moto G4 Plus. It comes with a 12 MP rear camera with the newly included dual auto focus pixels which gives 10% more pixels for focus than the Moto G4 Plus and offers quick focusing for a pleasing camera experience.
Along with this, the camera app has multiple shots feature which, clicks couple of extra shots and tells you the best amongst them, it comes quite handy in case the original picture you captured comes out blurry. There is also a professional mode to provide SLR like picture effects. The f/1.7 aperture lets more light in to armour the camera for good low light photography. The Moto G5 Plus has a 5MP f/2.2 aperture front camera with wide angle for larger selfies.
Motorola claims that, the Snapdragon 625 powered Moto G5 Plus is 30% more powerful than the Moto G4 Plus which is powered with the Snapdragon 617. The Moto G5 Plus has a full metal body which is made up of 6000 grade aluminium to ensure style and durability at the same time. It comes with a turbo charger which provides quick charging that compliments the 3000 mAh battery. The Moto G5 Plus also comes with some useful gesture enabled controls to open the camera, start the flashlight, etc.
