Meizu M5 with 5.2 inches screen, 13 MP rear camera and 3 GB RAM launched at Rs. 10,499
Meizu has launched a new budget smartphone, the ‘M5’ in India after a long hold. The Meizu M5 was first launched in China last year in October and has made its arrival in India now. The highlight of the smartphone is that it offers some good features such as 4G VoLTE support, an octa core processor and a 13 MP camera at a competitive price point. The Meizu M5 is priced at Rs. 10,499 and will be available for sale exclusively on Tata Cliq in Blue and Champagne Gold color options.
The key specifications of the smartphone include a 5.2 inches HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz 0cta-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor coupled with a Mali T860 GPU. The Meizu M5 comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on FlyMe OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Talking about the imaging capabilities, the smartphone holds a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, 5P lens and a Dual tone LED flash. There’s also a 5 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens. The connectivity options of Meizu M5 include, Dual sim support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS / GLONASS.
The device holds a fingerprint sensor on the front along with other on board sensors such as infrared, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and a magnetometer. The smartphone contains a 3070 mAh battery which is claimed to offer upto 37 hours of talk time, 9 hours of gaming, 5 hours of photography and 66 hours of Music playback. The Meizu M5 measures 147.28 x 72.8 x 8 mm and weighs 138 grams.
