6. HTC Desire 820s:
The HTC Desire 820s is the newer variant of the Desire 820. The Desire 820 already packed great specs and features and the 820s carries forward the same design but with improved performance. Let’s start with the design, it has the exact same design of the Desire 820. The body measures 7.74mm and is built with plastic which attracts fingerprints, it looks beautiful but doesn’t feel very premium. It has 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 32 GB. The Desire 820s has also got a decent battery life with the 2600 mAh battery. It supports Dual-sim and is 4G (LTE) capable. Overall, the HTC Desire 820s can be a very good choice if you want a beautiful phone with great performance from a reputed international brand like HTC.

Samsung has rejuvenated its smartphone line up in India. It has launched number of new smartphones across price ranges. The Samsung Galaxy E7 is one of its great new launches. It is powered by the popular Snapdragon 410 Processor paired with 2 GB RAM. The performance of the phone is very good, its smooth, fast and lag-free but it’s not meant for heavy usage. One thing which is very impressive in the Samsung Galaxy E7 is its display quality. It sports a 5.5 inches Super AMOLED screen with 720 x 1280 pixels turning out 267 ppi pixel density, though these numbers are not very good for a 5.5 inches phone, the display quality is very impressive. The phone is also excellent in the camera department. It has a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera, the picture quality of both the cameras is very good even at night. The phone supports Dual Sim and it has 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 64 GB but, there is a catch – the sim 2 slot is also used as the slot for SD card so at a time you can either use the second sim or the external memory card. Overall, it is very good device and can be a great choice if you want a large 5.5 inches screen phone with decent performance from a highly reputed brand like Samsung. Around this price the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo is also available, it can be a great choice if you want to experience the Note series of Samsung which comes with a stylus. Also, the Samsung Galaxy A5 can also be a good alternative if you want a 5 inches phone. But the Galaxy E7 is best among the three.

The new Chinese player in India – Meizu, has launched its new flagship MX5 in the country. The Meizu MX5, right from its design to all the other features it carries, looks a very exciting device. The beautiful full metal body smartphone sports a 5.5 inches Full HD AMOLED screen and with 401 ppi pixel density the display quality is very good. It is powered by the 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 Turbo Processor coupled with 3 GB RAM, the performance is excellent. It houses a big 20.7 MP rear camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture, 6-element lens, dual-tone flash, laser-aided focusing and to protect the camera glass it also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective lens glass, on the front it has a 5 MP camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture lens. In totality, it’s a great camera phone. It runs on the latest Android v5.1 Lollipop but with company’s own Flyme 4.5 UI running on top of it. A great feature of the phone is that it comes with a fingerprint sensor, so you can quickly unlock your phone with the touch of your finger. It is dual sim phone with 4G support. It has 16 GB of internal storage but it lacks the microSD slot, which is disappointing considering the phone is very good in all the other departments. It is backed by a 3150 mAh Sony Lithium polymer battery which comes with Quick charge technology, the company claims it charges 60% in just 40 minutes. Overall, it is a well-built powerful smartphone with good features, can be a good buying choice if the company appeals to you.

ZTE finally launched its Nubia series of smartphones in India. The first device they announced with the Nubia series is the Nubia z9 mini. When you look at the phone you can feel its beautiful classy design, specially the back of the phone is very nice. The phone has glass on both front and back and has a metallic frame, the build quality is very good. It has a 5 inches Full HD display which is very good. The main feature of the phone are its 16 MP rear & 8 MP front cameras. The 16 MP rear camera has a Sony IMX234 Exmor RSTM sensor with f/2.0 aperture 6P lenses. The camera has tons of features and the company claims that this phone can be used for pro photography. Well, the picture quality of the phone is really very good. It can capture good images at low light also. The 8 MP front shooter is equally equipped. The phone runs on 64-bit Octa-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 Processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and performs well. The phone is not only beautiful from outside but the Nubia UI 2.8 on top of Android v5.0.2 Lollipop makes the phone beautiful from inside as well. It supports 4G & Dual Sim and has 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB. A 2900 mAh battery powers the phone. Overall, the phone looks good, performs well and has an exceptional camera and though it’s at the 9th spot it can be a good choice.

This is another new phone launched in this range and this time by Gionee. The first thing you can notice when you get the phone in your hands is that, it’s very slim and it feels premium. The Gionee Elife S7 is just 5.5 mm thick. The phone has a pretty good and strong build quality, it comes with glass at the back like the Sony Flagship phones, and the bezels of the phone have metal linings. The phone not only looks beautiful from outside but the Amigo 3.0 UI running on top of Android Lollipop makes the phone beautiful from inside as well. It runs on the Octa-core 1.7 GHz Mediatek MT6752 Processor coupled with 2 GB RAM. It has very good performance and everything runs smoothly. It sports a great 5.2 inches Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The display of the phone is very good with great viewing angles. It has 13 MP rear and 8 MP front camera and the picture quality of both the cameras is very good. The phone is very slim and at the same time the camera unit doesn’t pops out from the back, it’s inline with the back and thus the camera lens is prevented from additional scratches. It supports Dual sim and it is also 4G capable. It has a good 2750 mAh battery. One thing which can be a turn off for many is that it has only 16 GB of internal storage which can’t be expanded. Overall, the phone has a great slim design and good performance and can be a good choice if 16 GB is enough for you.
