Zopo Speed X with dual rear cameras, Android 7.0 and Niki.ai announced in India

After teasing the smartphone last month, the budding Chinese smartphone maker Zopo has now announced its Speed X smartphone in India. The company, this time has partnered with India’s leading AI startup Niki.ai through its AI based chat-bot Niki. As of now, the price and availability of the smartphone remains unknown and it is expected to be unveiled in coming days.

Taking about Niki, it offers easy purchase options with 20+ e-commerce services across travel, entertainment & daily utilities. You can chat with Niki to pay bills, book cabs, buses, hotels, movie tickets and a lot more within seconds. As per Zopo, “the partnership with Niki.ai will provide a great amount of boost to the Speed X launch, making it all the more successful. Niki is an innovative platform which will provide a lot of value and convenience to all the ZOPO customers”.

Coming down to the specifications, the Zopo Speed X sports a 5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with a Mali T720 GPU. The device comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The Zopo Speed X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat which is the first smartphone from the company to do so.

The optic department which is also one of the highlights, includes a dual rear camera setup with a 13 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary sensor. The 13 MP primary lens comes with an Omnivision OV13850 sensor and the rear camera is also capable of providing bokeh effect to the images. The smartphone also has a 13MP front-facing camera along with a soft-LED flash.

The Zopo Speed X packs a 2,680 mAh battery for its powering and also has a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, below the rear camera module, which unlocks the smartphone in just 0.16 seconds. The connectivity options include, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The device has uni-metal body which is 8.1 mm thick and weighs 131 grams.
